The Music Fan Man discovered his enjoyment of all types of music by watching music videos on CMT, MTV, and VH1 in his teen years in the mid-90s. He enjoyed music so much that he made fictitious award shows in his highschool years from 1994-1998. He recorded acceptance speeches from various awards shows using a tape recorder held up to the TV. He used the recordings from the awards shows to create his own award shows acknowledging his favorite music entertainers and songs. He used a special effects CD for audience sounds.

He founded Music Or Lose It in 2015. His comedy-skit video “Sam Hunt Lyrics As Pick Up Lines In Real Life” was featured on country music websites for One Country and Kickin' Country 100.5. After releasing only four videos, he had to put the project on indefinite hiatus for personal reasons. His love of discovering new music never subsided. His passion for music prevailed and he re-launched Music Or Lose It in late December 2021. He reviews songs and music videos from the perspective of an everyday music fan. He interviews music entertainers and also opines thoughtful commentaries on various music topics. His videos are published on Music Or Lose It channels on various video venues including YouTube and TikTok. â–º Music Or Lose It Values

 • Merit over algorithms.

• Support for independent creators.

• Humans over artificial intelligence.

• Support for competition to big tech venues.

• Celebrating music of all genres and cultures.

• Evolution from music industry's outdated genre labels.

• Collaboration and mutual support with other music reviewers, reactors, and critics along with people of the music creator community.

• Reasonable fairness in accessing a potential audience for new creators by video venues, music distribution websites, and social media websites.

Respect to and inclusion of people of all walks of life. Equal opportunity. Moving past hate and discrimination based on race, religion, sexuality, senior age, and political beliefs.

• Defending free-speech - even repulsive speech. Free speech and free expression have long been fought for by controversial entertainers. When free speech is disliked it should be debated or ridiculed with more free speech.

However, Music Or Lose It simultaneously supports better voluntary labeling of hard-cussing, sexually explicit, and gory music. The Recording Industry Association of America seems to oversee use of the voluntary “Parental Advisory Lyrics” label. Spotify has an “EXPLICIT” or “E” label. Yet these labels seem to never appear on video uploads on venues like YouTube. In contrast, TV Parental Guidelines Monitoring Board has 6 labels for TV rating guidelines and the Classification and Rating Administration (at the Motion Picture Association) has 5 labels for movie rating guidelines. Music Or Lose It also supports freedom of association. This is mind Music Or Lose It wishes to elevate music free from hard-cussing, sexually explicitness, and gore. Music Or Lose It aims to elevate music that is utmost affirming of humanity.
